TALLAHASSEE -- Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Charles H. Bronson and Chairman Rodney Barreto of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) have announced that both the winter and summer oyster harvesting areas in the Apalachicola Bay System will be opened for harvest seven days per week through Aug. 31.

MacDill Air Force Base (CNN) -- All gates at MacDill Air Force Base are open today after being temporarily closed on Monday evening after a heavily armed man and woman were taken into custody when they tried to enter the facility without authorization, an Air Force spokeswoman said.
