With his whereabouts unknown since Monday, an outgoing, developmentally delayed St. Petersburg man returned to his home at Patton House unharmed Thursday night.

Staff members at that facility called Citrus County dispatchers to alert them that 37-year-old Christopher Harris had arrived home on his own. Harris apparently had no realization that people were concerned about his well-being.

He told facility personnel he had stopped along the way to visit with friends of his.

Harris arrived by bus several days ago to visit his mother in Crystal River.
