Yes. Below are the guidelines. They are designed to ensure common community civility. - When submitting letters, writers must provide their real name, city of residence and valid e-mail address with their letter to editor@naturecoastchronicle.com.
- Do not send multiple letters using different e-mail addresses. In other words, don't "stuff the ballot box."
- No profanity, including words with asterisks in them.
- No sexual innuendo.
- No libelous or slanderous statements or assertions.
- Keep letters to 350 words, maximum. If you need more space, indicate in your letter a justification as to why extra space is requested.
- Pictures, audio and video are acceptable, if they help illustrate the letter's points. CitrusDaily will also accept photos with cutlines, as a form of thank-you to an organization or individual.
- Letters will be edited for libel, slander and good taste.
- To submit a letter, or to ask any questions, e-mail the editor at editor@naturecoastchronicle.com.
NatureCoast Chronicle reserves the right to edit all letters to assure adherence to the stipulations above, to edit for length and to not publish letters at all if, in the opinion of the editor, the letter is inappropriate or offensive to common decency. Decisions of the editor are final.
